Caitlin Wong

Director of Education

Caitlin has a long history of experience in the field of education and has taught children of all ages, ranging from preschool to high school.  She has spent the last 20 years as an elementary school teacher for Los Angeles and most recently La Cañada and carries diverse experiences in the field of education.

Holding a multiple subject California teaching credential with CLAD certification and a Masters Degree in Child Development, she has also received what is considered to be "the most respected professional certification available in education" and gained National Board Certification in Literacy in 2010. In the past decade, she served as Arts Chair for an ARTS BRAVO Award winning Title 1 elementary school and strongly believes in arts integration in education.  Caitlin was previously a lead collaborator for the Huntington Library's ArtsWonder educational website and has served as Master Teacher in the training of new educators while also incorporating technology-based instruction within the classroom. She has served as a Master Teacher to support and guide new educators as well as designed and led professional development trainings and classes for LAUSD.

Having won numerous grants from various organizations such as The Michael Jordan Foundation, The Sarah Lily Grace Foundation, Gregory Colbert and more, she supported bringing the arts into an integrated curriculum at her school sites. To continue to support children beyond the classroom, Caitlin has provided after-school workshops, parent-child literacy classes and online courses throughout her career as an educator. 

Caitlin most recently completed her certification as an Educational Therapist. For the past 7 years, she has acted as the director and lead instructor at The Inquiry Academy.
